The village GP lashes out at her but is worried he may have lost the support of the jury.

Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) goes through a similar ordeal when she is questioned and is made out to be a frequent liar.

Yet there’s more: despite being advised against taking the stand, Meena is too eager to soother her eager with the limelight to listen and prepares for her own testimony the following day.

Ready to destroy her sister and anybody else who may have wronged her, she rehearses her lines in her cell – and her hard work pays off.

In the performance of a lifetime, Meena plays the part of a vulnerable victim in front of an enthralled jury and her plan seems to work as intended.
