LOYAL EastEnders fans may have recognised one of the new faces in the latest flashback episodes – but not for the reason you think.
Henry Garrett is currently appearing as a young Archie Mitchell in the special flashback episodes of the BBC One soap which has revived other legendary characters such as Peggy Mitchell, gespielt von Jamie Winstone.
But this isn’t the first time fans of EastEnders will have seen Henry on the show as he has another interesting connection to his current character of Archie Mitchell.
In a shocking twist, Garrett appeared in Archie Mtichell’s (Larry Lamb) debut episode in 2008 as his gardener.
Nicht nur das, seine 2008 character enjoyed a steamy fling with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) – Archie’s on-screen daughter.
This surprising twist of events means that Henry has played both a lover and a father of the same character.
EastEnders fans have been transported back to the 1970’s in new episodes of the soap to experience what life was like for the Mitchell family before the soap was on air.
The episode went down a storm with fans as many praised it as ‘the best episode’ they had seen.
One overjoyed viewer took to Twitter and said: “Without any shadow of a doubt, that was one of the best #EastEnders episodes I’ve ever seen! @bbceastenders”
Ein zweiter schrieb: “I would quite happily watch a series of this #EastEnders #Mitchells”
