The contestants are all given a score out of 10 for each dance by the four judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, juez principal Shirley Ballas and former pro Anton Du Beke.

In the final, Fleur East y Gorka Marquez came on top of the leaderboard as she was awarded a score of 119 points out of a possible 120 across three dances.

Helen Skelton and her partner Vito Coppola came in second place on the table as they were awarded 116 points and Molly Rainford obtuvo 115 from the judges.

But the show’s winner Hamza Yassin recieved the lowest score from the judges when he recieved 113 after the panel spotted several mistakes in his showdance.

But viewers have taken issue with the leaderboard in the final as the winner is determined via public vote, effectively rendering the judges scores irrelevent.

Longtime fans of the programa de la bbc took to Twitter in droves to call for the format of the show for the final to be changed.

One viewer tweeted: “Let’s take a look at this utterly pointless leaderboard where everyone has scored the same and none of it counts anyway.

Whilst a second said: “Might as well just bin off the judges scoring in the final, feels pretty pointless.

Un tercero escribió: “What’s the point of the judges scores in the final? They will just all be 40 anyway.

Another asked: “Considering the fact it’s down to the public vote, the judges scores are somewhat irrelevant?.”

A fifth stated: “It’s all a waste of time listening to the judges isn’t it. Everybody who is going to vote has already decided who they are voting for. Judges scores don’t count.

But a sixth added: “Thank goodness these scores mean nothing tonight, because otherwise I would riot here.

This comes as the series has found its latest champion after a glamorous and glitzy grand final.

Hamza returned to the floor after a rocky showdance to turn his fortunes around and took the second perfect score of the night leading him to take the Glitterball trophy and scoop the series crown.
