ALTON Towers fans have been given a huge blow as one of the theme park’s most popular rides is to close this year.
While the theme park has a whopping 10 rollercoasters, one of the biggest will close from next month for renovations.
Alton Towers‘ Nemesis rollercoaster, which opened in 1994, will close to guests from November 6.
The ride is to undergo a huge renovation, which is yet to be revealed.
It will then reopen in 2024.
Kate McBirnie, Head of Product Excellence at Alton Towers Resort, 前記: “Nemesis is Europe’s first-ever inverted rollercoaster, which has been exciting thrillseekers since 1994.
“The legendary rollercoaster is loved by thrillseekers across the UK and beyond, and we want to give fans of the ride the opportunity to experience Nemesis in its current form before it closes on November 6.”
The ride, which opened nearly 20 数年前, cost £10million to build and was the first inverted rollercoaster in Europe.
Thankfully there are other rides to choose from still at Alton Towers, including the Wicker Man – the first wooden rollercoaster in the UK for 20 年 – as well as Oblivion, the first vertical drop rollercoaster in the world.
そしてその new CBeebies Land has just opened three new rides this year as well.
Kids will have the chance to meet their favourite characters from Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, and JoJo & Gran Gran At Home.
The land also has daily live performances, including the Teletubbies, Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, and Captain Barnacles.
