ALBANIAN protestors draped their flag over the iconic Winston Churchill statue in Parliament Square on Saturday – as they hit back at Home Secretary Suella Braverman.
大约 1500 Albanians gathered outside the Houses of Parliament to stage the mass protest.
Veteran Conservative MP John Hayes called the protest “insulting and staggering”.
他加了: “These protesters have targeted a statue of our great war leader Sir Winston Churchill.”
“That is deeply offensive as we gather in remembrance to the fallen this weekend.”
Footage shared online showed demonstrators holding Albanian national flags with the double-headed eagle as the group chanted songs in their native language.
The group also occupied roads in Westminster whilst chanting “Shame on you”.
One protestor held a placard that said: “I am Albanian, I am not a criminal, I work very hard & pay more tax than the Prime Minister’s wife.”
