AN OAP has died after she was pulled from a “smoke-filled” bungalow by firemen in Wales.
The 74-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to a house in Carmarthen on Wednesday afternoon.
Two fire crews arrived at the scene after they were informed that a person was in the smoke-filled house.
The woman was removed from the property and was treated by paramedics.
Tragically she was pronounced dead at the scene, Wales Online reports.
She has not yet been named by police.
The 74-year-old’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, Dyfed-Powys Police said.
The HM Coroner for Carmarthenshire has been informed.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We were called to the sudden death of a 74-year-old woman in Dol-Y-Dderwen, Llangain, at around 12.30pm on Wednesday, December 29.”
An investigation into the cause of the incident has been launched by the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
