EASTENDERS is getting its first ever drag queen character – and they will be arriving sooner than you think.
Bosses have signed actor Matthew Morrison to play Felix Baker who is also an East London drag star called Tara Misu.
The soap has shared the first look at Felix and his alter-ego showing off her charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
Felix will arrive alongside his brother Finlay and their father Avery in the coming weeks.
Dad Avery will be played by Omar Lye-Fook, and is Mitch Baker’s long-lost brother.
The trio are set to cause chaos as they arrive in Walford over the summer.

And that’s before Mitch and the Taylors find out Felix is a drag queen.
Speaking about joining the soap as its first ever drag queen, Matthew said: “I am blessed to have the opportunity to step into the heels of the fierce Tara Misu as part of my role on EastEnders.
“It’s a privilege to represent the LGBTQIA+ community and to showcase the creative art of drag to both viewers at home and the residents of Walford.”
In a special behind the scenes video posted on the soap’s social media channels actor Matthew spoke to Natalie Cassidy about joining the soap.
He opened up about being a lifelong fan of the soap and which storyline from the soap was his favourite.
“The whole arc with Christian and Sayeed was the one I was most focused on growing up," er sagte.
“It’s important for people to see themselves reflected on screen. It’s almost like affirmation, if you can see someone like you then it’s OK.”
And describing Tara, er fügte hinzu: “She’s quite sassy.
“She wants to play the Queen on The Crown but has never could so she has a very Queen-like accent.”
And he got some tips about how to bring some charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to Tara from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Vinegar Strokes.

Vinegar told him that he should never leave the house without a nail and then tried to teach him to walk in heels like a drag superstar.
Matthew will make his debut as Felix and Tara on screen next month.
