GOOD Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid skipped the Bafta Television Awards red carpet this afteroon as the crew posed for photos.
Ranveer Singh, Charlotte Hawkins, Laura Tobin, Sean Fletcher, Alex Beresford and Dr Hilary Jones represented the ITV breakfast show after it was nominated for its interview with Shamima Begum.
Richard, 65, and Susanna, 51, who conducted the controversial live interview with former Isis bride Shamima in September, skipped the ceremony today, after Madeley said “who knows” how long he’ll be on air on GMB.
He took over Piers Morgan’s slot after the straight-talking presenter, who has moved to TalkTV, dramatically stormed out of the GMB studios after coming to blows with weather presenter Alex over Meghan Markle.

Richard became a more permanent fixture Mondays to Wednesdays every week with Le soleil revealing they offered him a huge pay-packet.
He told Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast about the new challenge without his wife Judy Finnigan: “In terms of what I do on my own, which at the moment is Good Morning Britain, although who knows how long that will go on for.
“I do it month to month at the moment and I’m very happy to.
