MYSTERY surrounds how two women were found in separate parts the Chicago River within an hour of one another.
The first woman’s body was discovered in the water at around 10.40pm in the 100 block of North Riverside Plaza in the city’s West Loop neighborhood, Polizisten sagten.
The body was pulled out by the Chicago Police Department (CPD) Marine Unit and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Officer Jessica Rocco, a Chicago Police spokesperson, and the medical examiner’s office.
Under an hour later at approximately 11.36pm and about four miles north, a second female body was found unresponsive in the water in the 2800 block of South Eleanor Street in Bridgeport, Polizei sagte.
She was also pronounced dead at the scene.
The second woman has been identified as 80-year-old Yuet Tsang, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, ein ABC7 Chicago Bericht sagt.
Detectives are conducting a death investigation, pending autopsy results, Beamte sagten.
