RONAN Keating has revealed his shock at something son Jack said about him on Love Island.

Jacobo, 23, is one of six new lads trying their hand at finding love in the notorious Casa Amor villa.

On yesterday’s episode, Jacobo y Gema, 19, got to know each other better as they soaked up the sun by the pool and bonded over having famous dads.

But as Jack talked about his dad Ronan, he said that he had “retired”.

On tonight’s The One Show Ronan was grilled about his son being on Isla del amor, and he revealed his shock at Jack’s comment.

Speaking to hosts Alex Jones y Jermaine Jenas él dijo: “He did drop the line that I was retired, that I was shocked about!

“I nearly fell off me chair! Qué?!”

Ronan added: “I’m doing the one show next week, I’m in York tonight!

“No I’m definitely not retired!”

Alex and Jermaine also grilled Ronan about Jack getting close to Michael Owen’s hija Gema.

The pair bonded over both having famous dads.

sin embargo, fans pointed out that Gem clearly didn’t know who Ronan was.

It all started when Gemma asked Jack: “So your mum is a showjumper? So what does your dad do?"

Jack replied: “He’s a singer.”

Intrigued, Gemma asked: “A well-known singer?"

And he answered: "Yeah he is, you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.”

But it was Gemma’s reaction that got viewers commenting, as she clearly didn’t know who Ronan was, when she said: “Er, oh, ok!”

Love Island viewers immediately took to Twitter to comment on her reaction, con una persona diciendo: “Gemma clearly has no clue who Ronan Keating is lol whilst I was sing my heart out at his concert on Thursday #LoveIsland.”
