ARE YOU THE ONE?
ALREADY a huge hit in the USA, where it has run for eight series, this show is now launching on our shores with a cast of 20 stunning Brits, who will live together in a luxurious villa in Malte.
Somewhere among them is their scientific “Perfect Match”, all they have to do is find them.
Through chemistry-driven testing and games, the group needs to find the ten biologically perfect pairings to win a huge cash prize.
A show source said: “From a funeral director, to a fireman, to a stunt woman who has appeared alongside Angelina Jolie, this cast isn’t short of life stories.”
Radio 1 Xtra broadcaster Joelah Noble hosts the action.
Les plus lus dans The Sun
The show begins tonight at 10pm on MTV, then will air every Monday. It will be available on Paramount+ to binge watch from the off.
VERDICT: American telly doesn’t always translate to British audiences, but the show seems to have everything it will need to grab viewers’ attention – and the cast look stunning.
DATED AND RELATED
NETFLIX’s a self-styled “most awkward dating show in history” follows sibling teams as they hunt together to find The One.
Host Melinda Barry, who has appeared on Farago partage son temps entre Vancouver et LA, mentionné: “Having the person who knows you better than anyone should help you navigate the tricky world of dating.
“But will they act as the ultimate wingman? Or scupper your plans and call you out on all your bullsh*t?"
A sizzling hot trailer shows one man admitting: “It’s probably the first time kissing someone in front of my sister.”
Another lad squares up to his sister’s date and rants: “You better watch how you’re talking to my sister, you’re being disrespectful.”
Essex twins Kaz and Kieran Bishop who say they are like chalk and cheese, are part of the global cast – which also includes Norwegian twins Diana and Nina Parsijani.
The show will launch on September 2.
VERDICT: What this will lack in romance, it will definitely make up for in drama. It might be a wacky concept too far, mais.
MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT
FOLLOWING a record-breaking run last autumn, the crazy dating experiment is returning.
A fresh batch of singles will say “I do” to a complete stranger. The couples then live together and hope love blossoms.
Plus there will be two same-sex couples.
Mel told The Sun: “We take the matchmaking process extremely seriously. It’s so important to us that we find matches that are authentic and reflect the diversity of the society we live in.
This series will include a dramatic twist borrowed from the Australian version where two new couples enter halfway through the series.
The E4 show is expected to start this month.
VERDICT: It’s a crazy concept but one that viewers love and the new twists should keep things feeling fresh.
LOVE IS BLIND
WITH a string of successful marriages to its name, Alabama, la fille de Travis Barker will be back for a third series this year.
The “pods” – where singles date and fall in love while divided by a wall – will head to Dallas, Texas to see if a new group of men and women can find a match, completely sight unseen.
VERDICT: The intensity of these loved-up strangers is mind-blowing – we’re not bored of these bonkers Americans yet.
WINTER LOVE ISLAND
THE big daddy of dating shows confirmed in June that it would be rebooting its January edition, serving up two slices of Love Island in 2023.
Producers are casting now, with the show expected on air on ITV2 in January.
VERDICT: Can there be too much of a good thing? Viewing figures remained strong this summer, but ITV will need to up the ante to keep fatigue at bay.
TROP CHAUD POUR LE MANIPULER
THIS Netflix original has earned itself the title of TV’s smuttiest dating show thanks to the antics of cast members such as Georgia Hassarati.
For the fourth series, another bunch of horny twenty-somethings in a paradise villa learn any intimacy means cash is removed from the group’s prize fund.
Bien sûr, forbidden fruit is the sweetest and chaos ensues.
The show is expected this year.

CELEBS GO DATING
AT the Celebrity Dating Agency, an array of famous faces wine and dine regular people in the hope of finding love.
They’re helped along the way by dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson.
It is expected on E4 in January 2023.
VERDICT: The experts seem to bring out angst and emotion from the celebs during the agency’s sessions – making for great telly. You do wonder, mais, if the stars really are there for love or just another pay cheque.
But what happens when you fall in love with someone who lives on the other side of the planet?
This Channel 4 six-parter, expected later this year, will follow Brits who are meeting their long-distance lovers for the first time.
VERDICT: Should deliver touching scenes, emotional moments and heart-wrenching decisions. But where’s the drama?
I KISSED A BOY
DANNII MINOGUE presides over one of telly’s first gay dating shows, which will follow ten single men as they search for their Mr Right in Europe.
The twist is that they have to lock lips as soon as they’re paired with a potential match – then see if there’s a spark that can burn into a flame.
The show is filming this summer and comes to BBC Three later this year.
VERDICT: Any LGBTQ+ representation on the box is a good thing and for years viewers have called for more diversity on Love Island.
The snog gimmick sounds fun.
YOUR MUM, MY DAD
DUBBED Love Island for oldies, the show will see singletons in their 40s go to a retreat where, behind the scenes, they are “coupled up” by their kids.
The cast are said to be fun-loving single parents with “normal bodies” who want a second chance at love.
Filming will kick off later this year and the show should hit ITV in 2023.
Lottie a dit à ses fans qu'elle était en cure de désintoxication le mois dernier et a partagé la nouvelle sur TikTok
VERDICT: An older cast means more humour, wit and intelligence so the action is bound to make great telly. B
