THE One Show’s Alex Jones has sensationally revealed that she “ended up pregnant” after making the decision to go vegan.
Back on screen after her maternity leave, Alex returned to the sofa on Thursday evening – but she soon made a very bold claim on the programme.
The Welsh star was chatting to actor Ralph Little about his decision to go vegan – and things soon took a strange turn.
The mum-of-three began: “Veganuary, good for the planet, but not so easy to do I found.”
To which the Death in Paradise star said: “There’s that old joke isn’t there – ‘how do you know someone vegan?’ Because they tell you within three seconds.”
“I’m just giving it a go and, so far, it’s going alright.”
Alex then confessed: “Well, I ended up pregnant after being a vegan for a bit.”
Ralph then choked and said: “I don’t think that’s how it works. I’m no scientist but…”
Alex then smiled and said: “There you go, it was so healthy!”
The room then erupted in laughter and co-host Ronan Keating took the show on to the next segment.
Fans of the show soon took to Twitter to air their thoughts on her bizarre confession.
One person tweeted: “Who knew that going vegan could get you pregnant?”
