BORIS Johnson’s ousting from power was a political assassination, his dad insisted.

It comes after Boris Johnson last night lashed out at what he called a “deep state” plot that ousted him from office.

Dad Stanley told Piers on TalkTV: “Let’s call it political assassination, it’s all I can say at this point.
“A squalid political assasination which bears no reference to the administration he put out.
“Obviously I wasn’t a Brexiteer, 但 英国脱欧 was one, 冠状病毒 was another, the environment.
“He really pushed on the environment and then you have Ukraine. So honestly, I am bewildered”.

Former MEP Stanley added his downfall was “a put up job from beginning to end”.
他说: “That’s how I see it and I think that we will learn our lessons on this one.
“We really learned our lesson that you can’t proceed in a democratic way by this sort of mechanism.”
Piers pressed: “Right, but that is of course how he himself took power as well?”
And Stanley responded: “But he had the grace, within weeks of taking power, to go to the country and get a mandate from the country as he did in December 2019.”
When Piers asked if his son’s repeated lying, the Partygate scandal and the Pincher debacle had played a role in his downfall, 我希望你对自己感到高兴: “I reject every single element of your dossier, I just don’t see it.”
Stanley added a number of ministers had been fined, 说: “It was his birthday and he picked up a glass at the end.. I am not ready to accept your language.”
His interview came as the Conservative leadership battle to replace Boris Johnson is down to its last three contenders.
Rising star Kemi Badenoch was knocked out today, winning just 59 votes from her colleagues.
It leaves Mr Sunak, Foreign Secretary 丽兹桁架 和 Penny Mordaunt.

Tory MPs are whittling the contenders down to a final two, who Conservative members will then vote on to become the next leader and Prime Minister.
The result of the members’ vote is expected to be in September.
