THE Chase fans were left fuming after a contestant who took the minus offer went on to win thousands.
Monday evening’s episode of the ITV quiz show saw Stan, Joe, Prathi and June join forces to take on one of the country’s finest brains.
Faced with the stiff task of going head-to-head with Paul Sinha, one contestant ending up stealing the show – but for all the wrong reasons.
With the first two contestants safely home, June was up next, egter, she soon stunned Paul.
Despite earning a respectable £4,000 in her cash builder round, the pensioner was given the option to choose a minus offer of £1,000 – and she did just that.
“I always said I wouldn’t take a minus, but it would still leave us £12,000 which, if I get through, there would be three of us,” June told host Bradley Walsh.
The Sinnerman then raised one eyebrow as he muttered: “Sterkte,” with the Chaser looking far from pleased.
Those watching at home were also left peeved as June would make it back to her seat and have the chance to win £12,000 – something she had not contributed to.
Langs 'n verskeidenheid van woedende-gesig-emoji's, Dit was Solomons se beheptheid met opera: “Anyone who takes the minus offer, but manages to win on The Chase should be forced to give their winnings to their teammates.”
