A THIRD of Tory renters will abandon the Tories at the next election unless Liz Truss helps them to buy a house, new polling shows.
Private renters will be kingmakers in 38 swing seats like Hastings and Rye and Milton Keynes North, which could determine the result, research seen by The Sun can reveal.
A new MPR poll for Shelter shows a staggering 15 million voters – half the electorate – say fixing the broken market will influence which box they tick when the next general election rolls around.
The figure rockets to two thirds of private renters.
The polling of more than 10,000 voters shows there’s a growing ‘Rent Wall’ which could decide the result like the ‘Red Wall’ propelled ボリス to power in 2019.
But they haven’t yet decided who they will vote for.
