PROUD Carol Vorderman was one very happy mum as she watched son Cameron’s belated university graduation.
The intelligent post-grad returned to Bristol to receive his First Class Honours Degree in Animation in person.
Like many graduates across the country, the coronavirus pandemic forced Cameron to sign off his studies virtually.
Carol, 62, rested her head on Cameron’s shoulder, with her son wearing robes and mortarboard.
She wrote: “Cam’s graduation was at 6 o’clock on a sunny evening and we didn’t know what to expect.
“Well @uwebristol University of West of England……IT WAS THE BEST….
“It was organised so well and so friendly and beautiful and the music blaring out was new and brilliant. We could all see brilliantly with the steep seating instead of being at the back of a ball not being able to see. About 100 were graduating and everyone was so happy.
“The speeches were happy and amazing….even big fireworks at the end…..and they all got goodie bags and well…..it was amazing.”
The former Countdown star then shared another picture, this time featuring Cameron and her daughter Katie.
The maths whiz paid tribute to the trio’s academic achievements.

“It only just occurred to me that my little brood and I are an academic family,” she wrote.
Recapping their success stories, Carol revealed she has a Masters degree in Engineering from Cambridge, Cameron has a Masters Degree in Animation and VFX from Dundee University, while Dr Katie has a Science Masters and PhD in Nanotechnology from Cambridge.
She continued: “Odd really but we haven’t ever thought of ourselves as an academic family, we just love learning….
“Ha…so there we are. The Vorder Kings.”
