APPLE is urging all iPhone users to check their privacy settings.
The Californian tech giant has issued a fresh warning to help gadget users stop rogue companies and crooks from accessing their personal info.
It’s part of a new privacy campaign that reveals how shady firms – and even mega brands – scoop up huge mounts of our data, and then sell it on.
林檎 has created a brand new TV ad that compares the system to an auction of your private life.
“過去10年間, a large and opaque industry has been amassing increasing amounts of personal data,” Apple explains.
“A complex ecosystem of websites, アプリ, social media companies, data brokers, and ad tech firms track users online and offline, harvesting their personal data.

“This data is pieced together, 共有, aggregated, and used in real-time auctions, fueling a $227 billion-a-year industry.
“This occurs everyday, as people go about their daily lives, often without their knowledge or permission.”
Apple has been very vocal about privacy on iPhone 近年では.
And it’s pushed out a host of major changes to help protect users.
Apple is now urging users to check their iPhone settings to make sure they’re as protected as possible.
iPhone privacy features to check NOW
These are some of the iPhone’s best privacy features that you should check now…
Go into your Settings to make sure you’re not sharing your location with apps that don’t need it.
You can even limit apps to using your location on a one-off basis.
And you can share your approximate location rather than your exact position too.
Intelligent Tracking Prevention
This is a Safari feature that blocks trackers from following you across the web.
It’s on by default, so just check to make sure you never switched it off.
App Tracking Transparency
This forces apps to ask for your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites.
You’ll see this pop up when you open a new app for the first time.
Simply tell the app not to track you to protect your privacy.
App Privacy Report
If you’re using iOS 15.2 コードスキャナービューファインダーをQRコードにかざしてスキャンするだけです, you can switch on the App Privacy Report.
This will reveal how often apps are accessing your data.
This can include your location, カメラ, microphone and more.
It will expose apps that are taking advantage of you.
Safari Privacy Report
This is similar to the app privacy report, but for websites.
On Safari for Mac, you can see who has been blocked from tracking you.
Make sure you’re using encrypted messaging services like iMessage or WhatsApp.
Apple encrypts communications in iMessage and FaceTime so that they can’t be accessed without your passcode.
No one else – including Apple – can intercept and view these communications.
This feature is available on the Mail app, and blocks email senders from learning about you.
They won’t be able to see how many times you’ve viewed an email, whether you’ve forwarded it, your IP address and more.
Apple can’t see what you’re buying when you use Apple Pay.
It doesn’t store your credit or debit card info.
All of this information is retained on the iPhone itself.
And transaction info is only shared with you, the merchant, and your bank.
