iPhone privacy features to check NOW
These are some of the iPhone’s best privacy features that you should check now…
Location Services
Go into your Settings to make sure you’re not sharing your location with apps that don’t need it.
You can even limit apps to using your location on a one-off basis.
And you can share your approximate location rather than your exact position too.
Intelligent Tracking Prevention
This is a Safari feature that blocks trackers from following you across the web.
It’s on by default, so just check to make sure you never switched it off.
App Tracking Transparency
This forces apps to ask for your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites.
You’ll see this pop up when you open a new app for the first time.
Simply tell the app not to track you to protect your privacy.
App Privacy Report
If you’re using iOS 15.2 コードスキャナービューファインダーをQRコードにかざしてスキャンするだけです, you can switch on the App Privacy Report.
This will reveal how often apps are accessing your data.
This can include your location, カメラ, microphone and more.
It will expose apps that are taking advantage of you.
Safari Privacy Report
This is similar to the app privacy report, but for websites.
On Safari for Mac, you can see who has been blocked from tracking you.
Encryption
Make sure you’re using encrypted messaging services like iMessage or WhatsApp.
Apple encrypts communications in iMessage and FaceTime so that they can’t be accessed without your passcode.
No one else – including Apple – can intercept and view these communications.
Mail Privacy
This feature is available on the Mail app, and blocks email senders from learning about you.
They won’t be able to see how many times you’ve viewed an email, whether you’ve forwarded it, your IP address and more.
