THE Bay fans all have the same complaint after ITV dropped a final season three trailer.
The drama is back for its third outing, but with a new family liaison officer in town, played by Marsha Thomason.
Marsha replaces Morven Christie, who will not return to the series after two seasons as Lisa Armstrong.
Marsha’s character DS Jenn Townsend is “immediately thrown into the deep end when a body is found in the bay on her first day in the job.”
The series three synopsis continues: “She must get under the skin of a grieving and complicated family if she has any chance of solving the premature death of an aspiring young boxer.
“While she’s eager to give the family answers, she also needs to prove herself as the team’s newest recruit.”
It continues: “The pressure is multiplied when her new blended family struggle to settle in Morecambe, proving to Jenn that a fresh start might not be as simple as moving to a different town.”
While Marsha looks set to get stuck into a gripping case, some fans can’t get over the fact Morven won’t be back.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Really enjoyed both seasons of #thebay but not that excited about the new series given that Morven Christie the main actress isn’t even going to be in it.”
Another added: “I have no idea why #MorvenChristie left. She was such a big part of #TheBay. The biggest part.”
A third tweeted: “If Morven ain’t in it, it’s not The Bay.”
However a fellow fan of the series wrote: “I loved Morven Christie but so looking forward to the new chapter with Marsha Thomasen.”
The Bay series 3 premieres on ITV on Wednesday, January 12 at 9pm.
