MO GILLIGAN reckons weekend TV is over-stuffed with cooking shows – so he’s here to save Saturdays with, هو, وجبة افطار.
The comedian is back with four more helpings of his reboot of The Big Breakfast after the success of its one-off special last year alongside AJ Odudu.
هو قال: “I think there’s a gap for Saturday vibes. There’s a lot of great Saturday TV, but there’s a lot of cooking stuff going on Saturdays.
“It’s going to be bringing some comedy to the mornings. Life in general could do with a bit more comedy at the moment.
“With The Big Breakfast, it’s quite fun and quite silly and just a great wake-up call.”
Throwing down the gauntlet to another pair of morning telly fav- ourites, Mo مضاف: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, you could never!"
Phile Gayle — who returns as newsreader — agrees about the number of food series and said: “You can only have so many cookery shows on a Saturday morning.”
The original 1990s show was hosted by Chris Evans, — now a Virgin Radio DJ — with Gaby Roslin and Paula Yates.
AJ and Mo’s one-off Big Breakfast special in September won a Royal Television Society award for best entertainment performance as part of Channel 4’s Black To Front project to boost Black representation in the TV industry.

“It’s the same show, the same vibe, but has completely different people. And it still works.”
But then, it always did make weirdness work.

Laurence said: “It’s a show that quite frankly gets people talking, it always has.
“Although the famous teapot disaster wasn’t anything to do with me. أظن Linda Barker is still receiving therapy. It really is a programme with a long legacy, and the British public love to talk about it.”
The show returned for a new series last night and Laurence said viewers should expect a new batch of surprising makeovers.
لكنه أضاف: “Minimalism is definitely dead and buried in its beige tomb. Welcome instead colour pattern and loads of personality.”
