Data from online travel agent KAYAK has revealed the best days to travel for the biggest savings, ma c'è un problema.

Brits looking to knock some pounds off their next holiday will have to travel on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday.

Per esempio, holidaymakers travelling to Amsterdam on a Wednesday could potentially save as much as £20 on their flight compared to other days.

Flying further afield saves more money, with a Tuesday flight to New York coming in £94 less than other days, while travel on the same day to Auckland will save holidaymakers £195.

It’s not just about flying on the cheapest day either, as KAYAK’s data revealed the best time to book holidays too.

Per esempio, booking a trip to Amsterdam 39 days before departure can save you as much as £123.

tuttavia, long-haul holidaymakers will need to be organised and book a trip to New York 63 days prior to flying for a saving of £294, while booking a trip to Auckland 38 days before could save £839.

Evan Day, UK Country Manager at KAYAK commented:Now is the time to be savvy when planning holidays to ensure you get the best value for your money.

We’ve analysed flight search and price data to help you save the most money and work out the best time to plan your 2023 getaways.

For additional savings, consider setting up price alerts to get notified when prices drop for the flight routes you want.

Consumer expert Harry Wallop told Sun Online Travel why it’s better to both book and fly on different days.

Egli ha detto: “It’s not that strange or unusual to think that flights cost a different amount, depending on when you actually fly because just like there is peak season, there are peak days of the week.

But what is slightly weird to people who aren’t inside of the industry, is that the price fluctuates depending on the day you actually make the booking.

According to all of the number crunching by airlines, il cheapest day to book a flight is a Sunday.

On a domestic flight, if you’re booking on a Sunday, rather than booking on a Friday, it saves you about 20 per cento.

On an international flight, it saves you about 10 per cento, which may not seem that much, but obviously long haul flights now are often extremely expensive, some are £800, so you’re saving £80that runs into the hundreds for a family of four.
