BRITS heading to Turkey have been given a holiday boost as the UK government has lifted a number of travel warnings.

While most of Truthahn is deemed safe for Brits, some parts were on the travel ban list.

This includes the regions of Tunceli, Diyarbakir, Kilis and Hatay provinces in the south.

But the Foreign Office has scrapped the travel warnings in place for these areas.

They stated: “The FCDO no longer advises against all but essential travel to Tunceli, Diyarbakir, Kilis and Hatay provinces.

The website states: “It is illegal not to carry some form of photographic ID in Turkey.

You should carry your passport or residence permit at all times. In some busy areas, especially Istanbul, the Turkish authorities may stop members of the public to conduct ID checks. “
