UFC star Conor McGregor says ‘life is a bitch’ after pub is petrol bombed

CONOR MCGREGOR wished his followers a ‘Happy thirsty Thursday’ just hours after his Dublin pub had been petrol bombed – sharing a bizarre video of himself flexing in a bathroom.

The UFC star’s £2million Black Forge Inn pub was hit with two Molotov cocktails on Wednesday night following an event he held, although ‘no damage was done to the premises.’

But the attack hasn’t dampened the MMA mogul’s spirit, which he showed was high as ever in an Instagram post that included him shouting and flexing in an expensive-looking shirt.

His caption read: “Happy thirsty Thursday everyone out there enjoy yourselves because life is a bitch and then you die.

“You never know when you gonna go. Rip all our soaring souls, they are still right here among us! Spirits remain!”

McGregor’s post showed him enjoying what appeared to be a fancy night out in his hometown.

It included a combination of videos of food, a glass of his Proper No.12 whiskey and selfies of himself enjoying a cigarette and of him showing off one of his many fancy watches.

Gardai are currently looking into Wednesday’s attack, saying in a statement: “Gardai are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage at a licenced premises on the Drimnagh Road, Crumlin last night, Wednesday 12th January 2022.

McGregor, 33, is currently recovering from the horrific broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last July and is targeting an April return to sparring.

And UFC supremo Dana White is anticipating a summer return for the former two-division UFC champ.

He told ESPN: “If everything goes right with the healing of his leg, he’ll be back this summer.

“I don’t know [if he could fight for the title right away when he comes back]. I won’t know the answer until it gets closer.”
