OLYMPIC hero Helen Glover embraced her three children for the first time in weeks as she made her emotional return home.
The 35-year-old rower may have failed to add to her two gold medals of previous Games but her rousing performance in Tokyo inspired millions.
Und, on Friday evening, the Brit touched down on home soil and was immediately greeted by young Logan, Kit and Willow.
Posting the reunion on Instagram, Glover captioned the clip: “This feeling 🥰 #runningcuddles #homesweethome.”
Das 2012 und 2016 pairs champ and new partner Polly Swann had their backs against the wall at the Sea Forest Waterway.
New Zealanders Grace Prenderghast and Kerri Gowler, who looked the class act from the start of the regatta, set a world and olympisch record in the semi-finals as the Brits qualified second for the main event.
As the Kiwi pair rowed away from the field again in the final, Glover and Swann saw their bronze hopes fade and die as they could not haul back the fast-starting Canadian boat as Russia took silver.
Addressing her children afterwards, Glover told BBC Sport: “They’re sometimes up at this time in the morning so they might be watching now.
“I love them so much, they’ve been my inspiration. I never saw myself getting back in a rowing boat until they came along. You can do anything you want to do.
“Trying and failing is not a problem, as long as you try. All the parents who have supported me on the way, thank you for your messages.”
The heartwarming footage of Glover’s return sparked a huge response from her fans online, with a few famous faces among them.
