READY for some pillow talk?
You won’t want anything to stand between you and the land of nod, which means you need the best-value pillow possible.
Hayley Minn tests budget twin packs and marks them out of five for comfort and coolness.
Asda Soft Comfort pillows, £4.50
As soon as I took them out of the packaging, I could see how lumpy they were.
很遗憾, they felt just as lumpy under my head.
Some people do like these soft support pillows but I’m not one of them.
I felt like my head was flat on the mattress as I laid down.
话说回来, at £4.50, you can’t really go wrong and I did feel quite cool on the bed, although possibly this was due to the lack of pillow.
Tesco Soft Touch, £8
Pulling them out of the packaging, they looked very flat with none of the plumpness you dream of.
Lying on them wasn’t much better, as I could feel the mattress under my head and the material felt rather itchy, which meant I also found it quite hot to sleep on.
尽管如此, they had a lovely, clean smell.
Silent Night Deep Sleep, RRP £21.16, £17 on Amazon
As the market leaders in pillows and other bedding, I had high expectations – and they certainly did not disappoint.
It was like sinking into a fluffy cloud.
Weirdly, the pillows even had a comforting smell, unlike the others.
But when it came to keeping cool, these weren’t so great, as I felt quite sticky surrounded by material.
They were the most expensive pillows I tried out, but you might want to go for something else that’s just as comfortable and a bit cheaper.
Aldi Megabounce, £6.99
For just under £7, I was pleasantly surprised by 阿尔迪’s pillows.
They are soft and comfortable and feel just as luxurious as some of the other, 更贵, pillows on this list.
Aldi really has got it right with these. If you spot them on your next supermarket trip, make sure you grab them and give yourself a great night’s sleep.
Wilko Supersoft, £7
For the price, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by Wilko’s Supersoft pillows.
But they were actually quite acceptable when it came to comfort.
The material on them felt cool on my face as well.
These are an absolute bargain for the low price.
Argos Home Supersoft, 10 英镑
Habitat used to be seen as very high-end and expensive.
They have the same amazing quality you’d expect from Habitat but at a fraction of the price.
These were my favourite, with my head sinking into them immediately.
In terms of temperature, they were great too.
Enough to make me nod off right away.
