A WOMAN was found dead with fatal injuries inside a home this morning as a man was spotted fleeing the scene.
Police have launched a murder manhunt after the body of the 19-year-old woman was discovered in the Birmingham home.
A man – said to be known to the victim – was seen fleeing the building shortly before emergency services arrived.
Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, from West Midlands Police, 说: “This is a tragic death of a young woman with her whole life ahead of her.
“We are speaking to other residents at the multi-occupancy address and exploring CCTV to understand what has happened.
“We have a suspect who we are keen to speak to, who is thought to be known to the young woman.”
Emergency services raced to the scene after receiving a 999 call just after 6am.
The woman was found unresponsive at the scene and pronounced dead.
A West Midlands Police spokesman added: “Searches are underway to trace a man seen leaving the building shortly before emergency services were called. He is believed to be known to the deceased.”
Officers have sealed off the shared house in Unett Street to carry out forensic examinations.
Cops flew a drone above the property and police bearing firearms were seen scouring a back garden.
A baby was also seen being taken from the address.
